Lidl opened the store at Enköpingsvägen 26B, on the corner of Barkarbyvägen, in November 2020 as the chain's store number 201 in Sweden – a week after number 200, according to Lidl's own press release. It was built next to the new Swedish head office, inaugurated in April 2021 with 15,000 square metres and room for 600 staff, and was described as a test store for the chain's environmental and sustainability concept. The sales floor is around 1,400 square metres, with a large fruit and vegetable section and bake-off, according to Järfälla municipality's barkarby.se. Outside there is parking with accessible bays and EV charging; in store, the Lidl Plus app, cards and cash are accepted. Open 08–21 every day according to lidl.se.
